Weather condition may cause accidents, especially during winter. Snow may affect the roads, making it more slippery and falling snow also may distract you from driving. And because of that drivers must really have car insurance to compensate for the damages.

Legal Requirement

Idaho state law requires minimum Bodily Injury Liability limits of $25,000 per injured person up to a total of $50,000 per accident, and Property Damage Liability coverage with a minimum limit of $15,000. This basic coverage is often referred to as 25/50/15 coverage:

•	$25,000 for injury or death to one person
•	$50,000 for injury or death to two or more people
•	$15,000 for the damage of another party’s property

Penalties

Being caught for the first time will require you to have evidence or proof of insurance for a year. If you are caught twice then you will be required to have a proof of insurance for 3 years. Then if you still haven’t learned your lesson, it may be a bad record for you and it will affect your future purchase of car insurance and you will likely be charged of higher rate.
